Comparative Constituency Voice: The Next Phase of Integrating Consumer Feedback to Improve Organizational Outcomes (M)

Thursday, Oct. 15, 2-3:30 p.m.
Session:
D2
Track:
Management (M)

How can organizations improve feedback mechanisms and the utilization of feedback data across multiple purposes by agencies and funders? Reform efforts need to address all stakeholders, notably funders, providers, and primary constituents. The multiple goals of evaluation and feedback efforts need to be explicit and development of feedback activities need to be aligned with those goals. Creating comparative feedback data sets offers one proven way to do all this; adopting a reporting principle that requires feedback on an organization’s stated results is another. Colleagues will share what they are learning in an Alliance and United Neighborhood Centers of America pilot innovation. They will explain the tools they are using for comparative constituency feedback, and the benefits of clarifying the meaning of feedback and creating incentives for taking feedback seriously.
