Hotel Reservations

Conference attendees should make reservations at InterContinental Houston by calling 800-327-0200. Please make your reservation by Sept. 30, 2009, and mention the Alliance for Children and Families to receive our discounted rate of $199 $175 for single or double occupancy, plus applicable taxes.

Book early—a limited number of rooms will be available at our special rate for stays up to three days prior and three days after the conference dates, subject to availability at the time of booking.

The InterContinental Houston is a contemporary uptown Houston hotel, located one block from the 5,000,000 square foot Galleria Mall and minutes from the Museum District, the Theatre District, and historic Hermann Park.

Travel by Air

Attendees should fly into William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) or George Bush International Airport (IAH). With multiple carrier choices, there are multiple options for travel times and fare.

Shuttle Service

SuperShuttle Shared-Ride Service offers transfers to InterContinental from William P. Hobby Airport (HOU-17 miles) for $19 one-way or $36 round trip and George Bush International Airport (IAH-27 miles) for $24 one-way or $46 round trip. Please allow 50 minutes for the transfer. What to Wear

October temperatures in Houston range from an average high of 82 degrees to an average low of 62 degrees. Attire for the conference is business casual. We recommend you wear layers as meeting room temperatures can vary.
