Multi-Faceted Strategy for Turning Around Turnover Issues (HR)

Thursday, Oct. 15, 2-3:30 p.m.
Session:
D3
Track:
Human Resources (HR)

During this workshop, attendees will learn about seven elements for a comprehensive strategy aimed at retaining staff. Presenters will provide detailed information on the seven elements and their strategies, including interactive and second interviews, extended foundation training and support, staffing resources and enhancement, active engagement of frontline staff in quality improvement initiatives, leadership training program, staff development and advancement opportunities, and reduced caseloads. In addition, the process of obtaining staff buy-in, decision-making, budgeting, obtaining board and senior management approval, implementation, and early outcomes will be shared. Participants will be encouraged to share program strategies that have worked for them, attempts that have not produced results, and ideas that need development or brainstorming.

Lesa Chandler, training and resource manager, foster care case management, and Ryan R. Dowis, vice president, foster care case management, Cornerstones of Care
