Sheila McGuinness holds a Doctorate in Business Administration/Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University.  Before joining Green Chimneys Children’s Services, she held progressively responsible Human Resources positions in a variety of industries including nuclear power, technology research and development, and health care.  Currently she is an Associate Executive Director at Green Chimneys and is responsible for the Human Resource and Quality Improvement functions.  In addition to her work at Green Chimneys, she is also an adjunct professor at Iona College and the SHRM Foundation Director for the New York State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and past-president of the Westchester Human Resource Management Association.

Dr. McGuinness is a member of the American Society for Quality and the Society for Human Resource Management.  In addition, she is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute.
