The workplace generational gap often results in everyday communication failures which may impact negatively upon a wide range of important organizational benchmarks, including revenue, recruitment, retention, morale, fairness, and equity perception. This workshop will examine the social markers and events that impacted the formative years of the five generation groups currently in today’s workforce—G.I., Silent, Baby Boomers, X, and Millennials—through music and images. The workshop will discuss the characteristics of each group and help identify communication skills that foster better communication, learning, and understanding necessary for success.
